Jinja Mart Logo

An unofficial logo for the online shop "Jinja Mart".

Jinja is a town in southern Uganda, on the shore of Lake Victoria, the source of the Nile.

The Nile was held up to the ancient people as the source of all life in Egypt and an integral part of the lives of the gods. According to ancient Egyptian belief, the gods were intimately involved in the lives of the ancients, and the annual floods that deposited the fertile black soil along the arid river banks were caused by them.

I aimed to create a visual link between shopping and the river (the source of good things) using a touch of African art in the logo. To express all of this, I used bright colors.
