HÀ NỘI GEN TRỘI | The Manor Central Park Illustration

The project "Hà Nội - Gen trội" (Hanoi - Dominant gene) has defined and shown the dominant aspects of Hanoi and of each person: unique characteristics, personality, and how they feel about a place, which is becoming more and more vibrant and modern, yet still bring along with old cultural values.

The artwork focuses on young people with personality and enthusiasm and strong personality - the "dominant genes" of Hanoi. Their common starting point is their pride in being born and raised from a thousand-year-old cultural city. However, they do not stand still and accept the present. They always want to achieve a more modern future, but still can bring their "Hanoi" to the world.

The concept will use 3 means to convey the 3 keywords of the theme: heritage, festive and vibrant. To express the crystallization of the heritage, the concept uses materials of architecture & street nature of Hanoi, combining with a little texture influencing Dong Ho painting. The artwork consists of simple but specific shapes and lines to create the atmosphere of the festive culture. And to portray the dynamism and brilliance of a modern city, the color palette will include vibrant and youthful colors.
