Cicadas

In Virginia, the Cicada brood emerges every 17 years or so. This year has been a crazy one. I got married amidst the pandemic, and in south western Virginia, the 17 year brood re-emerged.

My wife grew up fascinated by insects in general and was particularly drawn to Cicadas due to their rare and impressive sightings. So, for the holidays this year, I explored a biological illustration approach to a few different views of a Cicada.

As always, I'm open to commission work for just about anything design or illustration related. Shoot me a message!
