Contemporary Socially Engaged Art - Handlettering

Like a lot of young people I am concerned about the growing social, economic and environmental issues surrounding me and I wanted to take some time to research and think about the role of art and artists in making positive change in the world. I wrote a short paper about what socially engaged art is, who the biggest names in contemporary socially engaged art are and my thoughts on whether artists can and should be the architects of change in our society.

These are two posters I designed for the cover and like the paper, they are in Serbian. The text on the first poster says "Artists will save the world" and the second "Contemporary socially engaged art". I illustrated the letters myself using Procreate on my iPad.
