Yesterday we saw historic election results that were ultimately followed by shameful, unpatriotic, and unlawful acts committed on the capital. Washington, D.C., officials say four people have died, including one in a fatal shooting inside the U.S. Capitol, and more than a dozen police officers were injured after a mob of supporters of President Trump stormed the nation's legislative building, temporarily shutting down a vote to certify his successor.

Yesterday truly showed how broken our democracy is and how much hate and division has been created by the Trump Presidency. I'm not sure how you restore America as a symbol of democracy but, maybe this woman shows us not all hope is lost.
