01 | Lido Pimienta — Miss Colombia
This album is so special to me. The whole concept of it and its message connected with me since the very first listen. It was the most awaited record for me this year and I can totally say it paid off. For me, Lido is so inspiring… the way she presents herself, her attitude, her speech, her artistry, her vision, her influence, her persona, everything just click with me. She is so pure and honest and you can tell she is paving her own way in the music industry. I’ve NEVER listened to something like Miss Colombia, and I love how she is just talking about things I can relate to using a language that is completely new to me. I will carry this record so close you my heart whenever I go, because it talks about that, about the feeling of belonging but also about self expression, self consciousness and self value. Thanks to Lido for giving birth to this child of hers. She did just THAT.
