Preston Station's Gunfire Rum

My task was to create an alcoholic beverage themed on a location. I chose to theme it on my home city Preston. In august 1914 thousands of men were being transported down to Southampton to fight in the First World War. Some local women in Preston noticed that many of the men weren’t being fed and were waiting hours within the station. Mayoress Anna Cartmell organised a huge free buffet for our troops called ‘Preston Soldier and Sailors Free Buffet’. This drink welcomed and supported our troops and 100 years later the original drink is back and ready to help you relax on your travels back home.
