Goals | George Store

Hi people!

I am happy to share with you a part of how the products in George Store (a virtual store where you can contract or buy Erste Bank's products) were created, or what we had in mind when we developed them, which are now presented to the public through George, the pan-European platform that transforms banking with digital g(e)orgeousness.

As a UX/UI designer I am honored to be a part of a great project and I am particularly grateful I had the opportunuty to learn, colaborate and strive for better with my colleages from the Direct Channels Division in Erste Bank Croatia.

Finally, let's get to the point 😉

(SAVINGS) GOALS #CaseStudy
Beside the "classic" Savings, we want our users to be able to choose or define their own goal(s) quickly and easily through George Store, Erste Bank’s new online store.

WE INTRODUCE ADDED VALUE TO SAVINGS
Money as such is sometimes not a motivating factor enough to store it in a separate partition. We like to visualise in our minds what we are striving for or the things we want to accomplish. That's why we introduce Goals. While "classic" Savings put an emphasis on money guarantee and funds back to the account upon termination, the Goals are focused on achieving the goal(s) which can be something (e.g. a new phone, bicycle, vacation etc.) or for someone (e.g. our kids, pets etc.). To achieve that goal, we are looking for customer engagement.

PEOPLE SAVE FOR WHAT THEY CARE ABOUT
People nowadays save up for anything, but it's always something they really care about. It can be a small thing worth just a hundred kunas (HRK), to something much more valuable. To achieve the desired goal, the user has to reach the destined amount he/she defined.

A PERFECT OVERVIEW OF HOW TO ACHIEVE ALL YOUR GOALS
To make it easier to track (monitor) progress toward our goal, we have provided the user with an insight into the goal completion percentage and the remaining amount. When a person has a defined goal, it is proven that he/she is more motivated and will put more effort into achieving that goal. We have provided users with a complete view of the realization of all their goals with a simple and transparent interface, with the possibility of additional payments at any time. Cheers!
