Header Illustration + Process | Blocknative

Blocknative asked us to illustrate some of their header images - here's one of two for their Builders page.

Process
I began by sketching the concept and including it in a shared Figma document with Blocknative. This way they could leave feedback in one place instead of scattered across email / Slack.

Once the sketch was approved, I brought it into Adobe Illustrator to begin the vector illustration. You can notice how the position changed a bit here. I decided to keep the ilo facing forward as not to distort the brackets / decrease visibility, since the brackets & semi-colon are the focus of the illustration.

Finally, I brought the vector illustration into the Figma file for final review. You can see that I used pages in Figma as a more streamlined way of communicating with Blocknative and documenting progress.
