Lorang Forest

Lorang or often called Lorang Balakoi (bala = soil, koi = red,) has a red soil structure and karst rocks. This village is surrounded by mangrove forests which are inhabited by many animals, such as deer, cuscus, kangaroo, wild boar, and around 200 species of birds, one of which is The Bird of Paradise or Cenderawasih which is a protected animal and an icon of Aru Islands Regency.
