Imagine Dragons Album Cover

This album cover design is based on the feelings I first had when I listened to Imagine Dragon's EP Continued Silence (which eventually became their first album Night Visions). Monumental. Awesome. Powerful. I had never heard anything like it, and the lyrics and sounds seemed to really capture me. Like being hit by a tsunami. I sought to create a design that captured these perceptions from long ago. A little photoshop magic goes along ways!

The wave is a zoomed in portion of a wave. The dock was from another image. the person on the dock is from another image. They've been brought together to create a pretty seamless effect. The portal is the image of the wave with a distortion effect on it clipped to a circle, then an outer glow applied to the shape. Font is "Lust".
