KoffieTcacao the September issue

When I was 28 I decided to trade the quiet life in the rural south of Holland for the fast city life of Amsterdam. I found a job as a barista there before I even got a home. When I started the new job, I was sleeping on the couch of my friends for six weeks. It was a very exciting period in which I learned a lot, but I realised being a barista is hard work. I was not able to combine it with my illustration jobs.

I think you can imagine that I was thrilled being asked to illustrate Koffietcacao magazine. I decided to draw the interior of the coffee bar that I worked in for nearly six years, as a homage.
