Shahs of Legend

For years I’ve had a goal of illustrating all major characters of the Shahnameh, a 1000-year-old epic also known as the Book of Kings. The original book has 50,000 verses and features hundreds of colorful shahs, queens, princes and princesses, heroes, ghouls, and other magical mythical creatures.

I've finished illustrating the first batch of characters (in the sequence they appear in the book) and created a one-off board book for my son. It feels great to finally share this. I look forward to illustrating many more characters including a lot of kickass women.
