Decided to try changing my flat backgrounds to something a little more textured by using my Red and YellowOrange ink brush pens as a paint pallet to work around with a brush and water. used colour replacement on Photoshop to better differentiate the skin from the clothes too. Was looking a little too blue for me. Might have to invest in some Neutral Grey Copics. Dark Cool Greys get super blue after editing levels.

Portrait is of jazz pianist, producer and sometimes rapper Alfa Mist. Saw him live in at Blue Note Tokyo a year and a half ago now. Beautifully haunting chords, with a hip hop influence. Often features/is featured with Tom Misch, Jordan Rakei and Barney Artist. Albums Nocturne, Antiphon and Structuralism are all masterpieces in my book. His production work on Barney Artist's Painting Sounds album fits in there as well for me. Absolute go-to for my moody nights in.
