We've all experienced the agony of waiting at a red light with no other cars in sight...

Relay aims to fix that, with its state-of-the-art intelligent, distributed traffic control framework, developed as an Engineering Research & Design project at the University of Waterloo.

Relay intersections communicate with one another, constantly gathering and sharing information autonomously across the entire city. This allows traffic lights to adapt to, and even predict, ever-changing traffic patterns.

Relay also supplies data from its networks in a tidy web app, providing coherent traffic data to anyone, anywhere.
