Design Brief:
Your assignment is to design the cover, title and half-title pages, and the first 11 pages for a book, using a text available in the public domain. Appropriate fonts should be chosen, keeping in mind both legibility and the personality of the text, and you must be able to defend those choices. Careful attention should be paid to letter kerning, leading, tracking, justification and typographic hierarchy. The pages must be laid out on a clearly recognizable grid and contain page numbers (folio) and running heads/footers. The cover should incorporate details from the text pages, unifying the parts.
