November 29 - National Lemon Cream Pie Day

This is a divided topic in our house. Caroline and Elizabeth LOVE Lemon Cream Pie, whereas Mary Ann and I are all about the Apple Pie. How about you? What’s your favorite pie?

HOW TO CELEBRATE:

• BAKE ONE YOURSELF – It’s really not too difficult it you go the no-bake route. Pick a classic or pre-made crust, fill with lemon pudding and top with whipped cream. Delicious and easy! Don’t forget to lick the beaters! Or check out the hashtag #NationalLemonCreamPieDay for easy recipes.

• ELIZABETH WHO? – Did you know that Elizabeth Goodfellow, a Philadelphian chef came up with her “signature creation” Lemon Meringue Pie in 1825. After her death in 1951, it’s had a few aliases: iced lemon pie, lemon custard pie and lemon cream pie.
