BET Network Identity Animation

A Network Identity animation for the network: BET. This project was quite a challenge because not only was I unfamiliar with the programming for BET, but I also challeneged myself to attempt 3D animation using Cinema 4D.

BET is a network that is sophisticated and classy, and yet raunchy, fun and in-your-face. The network has pride. Pride in it's brand, it's culture, it's music, and it's viewers. Finding a balance between these elements of the brand identity was challenging, but is shown through the idolization of a classic record player. Homage is paid to this iconic piece of musical history and the paisley/tear drop shapes are shown as the embodiment of music. The music then takes us on a journey from their birth at the needle on the LP to the BET logo.
