Does Artificial Intelligence have biases?

El Gato y La Caja (translated as “The Cat and the Box”) is an Argentinean magazine focused on making science available to non-academic readers. I had the pleasure to make an illustration for an article about how Artificial Intelligence inherits the prejudices and biases of the people building it, and the negative impact this has on social minorities. As a latino woman, this subject touches me very deeply and I’m happy that my work has contributed -even in the smallest way- to give visibility to these problems.
