ORG BASE UI PROTOTYPE

Volunteerism is one of the important objectives of nation-building. It encourages people to share their strengths and abilities and be able to achieve something together. In the Philippine background, volunteerism is a cultural practice called "Bayanihan" or aiding one another. The virtue of Bayanihan led Filipinos to do community work in their respective fields and sooner establishing organizations with like-minded peers.

According to Bently University, there are twelve major benefits of joining an organization. Some of them are, learning about one’s self, learning how to work with a team, getting networking opportunities, and being able to give back to the community.

In the context of volunteerism in the city. There has been multiple non-profit organization established just in the span of the COVID-19 pandemic, to name most of these are youth imitated projects such as the Lampara Dream Project which goal is to address the needs of students found in schools that are far from the city-- ts current objective is to provide learning kits for these students. Another of this recent youth-initiated movement is the Seedbank Project which seeks to strengthen urban space farming within the locality of Zamboanga and boost local farming within the city.

The above-mentioned projects and more have reached people within their own platform and also, these organizations have worked hand in hand to envision a greater goal with the contribution of their own specializations.

With this, Org Base PH is an Android application that provides citizens of the city to have a detailed view of what are the organizations currently existing within their reach and the different specialization this organization focuses on. Zamboangeños can impart and grow their skills by joining a group of people who share the same vision.
