POβ€”2

A concrete plate fence Β«PO-2Β», the most replicated architectural project in Soviet Union. It was designed by architect Boris Lachman in 70’s as a fence aimed to guard the military bases or industrial production from the random trespass. But as it often happens, this piece started its’ own life and this specific fence appeared in every town in the endless territory of the USSR.
And as a result, his architectural element became an integral part of the Soviet and Post-Soviet urban landscape.
For you to understand β€” on more than 22 million square kilometers which is now the territory of fifteen modern countries β€” you can hardly find a graffiti writer or street artist who didn’t try the spray can on this fence.
