WELKOM | Museum Expo Identity

Identity for Rudy Vanderlans and Zuzana Licko's exhibition in Stedelijk museum in Amsterdam. These designers created Emigre Magazine, whose first issues were focused on emigration. Therefore, a social design is created to raise awareness by promoting values such as respect, equality and freedom. The naming is WELKOM (welcome in Dutch) that invites you to visit the exhibition and it also refers to welcoming immigrants and supporting ethnic diversity. The shape of the "E" refers to the "equal" symbol, reinforcing the concept of equality. The entire identity is constructed using bitmap pixel typefaces that characterize Rudy Vanderlans and Zuzana Licko, precursors in digital graphic design.
