Senderos de Mexico´s Web Page Usability
School project to improve the usability of the NGO Senderos de México website, also creating relational marketing with users.
The modifications are divided into two, relationship with the user and usability of the page.
Co-creation of content and personalization of the page are key to the usability of the page
You can add the opportunity to create a profile, where you can add watchlists with reviews and images. In addition, it modified the visualization of the trails and the cataloging of information about them. A direct button is added that connects to Google Maps. Finally, a different page was proposed to see the catalog of the guides.
The changes were used on the current web page as a canvas, respecting the images it already had.
The project was presented only as a prototype with Adobe XD, first creating everything with an illustrator.
To improve the relationship with the user, the opportunity to add a personal profile was added, adding empathy, credibility and trust to the page, allowing them to have an identity within the site. The link between company and consumer is reinforced; With the opportunity to personalize, people can create personal content, classifying paths with lists in different ways, adding images and reviews of the routes; And a catalog of guides with better visualization of the available guides was added, with their contact information and a small text describing who they are, creating a more personal approach between users and guides
As for the usability of the page, it was suggested to change the visualization of all the paths so that users can get an idea of the location of each of the paths without having to make several clicks; A better catalog of the information of each path and add a direct link to google maps. Reducing the clicks to reach certain information is key to the usability of the pages.
The profile offers instant demographic and psychographic data about its clients, which can be used for better segmentation, personalization and efforts aimed at the target client
