The Little Things

One of the main things that made me fall in love with freelance was the ability to work on projects that use my individual illustration style. This year I’ve gotten to work on an amazing array of illustration-heavy projects including a coffee shop mural, so many adorable dog characters, and some new and exciting packaging formats. I love the way that hand-crafted illustrations can bring such a strong sense of personality and uniqueness to a design. However, I also understand that a highly illustrative look isn’t right for every project. I’ve had a wonderful balance of fun, expressive projects and clean, corporate ones. This has made me realize that no matter the project, I can use my knack for illustration to add little personal touches in the form of icons, specially stylized fonts, edited photos, and graphic treatments.
