Helpout

HelpOut began as an initiative between TouchFoundry and Backabuddy — a platform built to help alleviate the crisis caused by COVID19. People in dire situations are able to geotag their location and specify what they need to get by, whilst those willing to help can offer up services to their community.

During the 72-hour hackathon that turned this idea into a fully fledged platform, TouchFoundry designers and developers created this map view that allows users to specify their exact needs and services. It’s simple, accessible design scales to any platform and is easy on data usage, ensuring that people in need at any economic level can access the app to reach out, regardless of what device they’re using.

Since its inception, the presidency and industry leaders have joined us on our mission to help those in need. HelpOut has evolved into a fully fledged disaster relief platform — LinkedTo. With the best the country has to offer doing their part, LinkedTo will serve to help communities come together long after COVID19 pandemic has come to an end and become a transparent and effective method of distributing aid from the National Relief Fund.
