Monkey Face Rock

Seems like forever since I've shot anything. Anywho, this is a fun illustration I'm working on for a logo.

There's a nice place here in Oregon called Smith Rock and one of it's main attractions is a particular rock that looks a bit like a Monkey face from certain angles thus it's name, Monkey Face Rock.

The Client is putting together a half marathon that will feature the scenic Monkey Face Rock as a backdrop to the race and wanted to push it with an illustration of the rock for the logo. There was bit of a back and forth on weather it should resemble the rock or not and ultimately the decision was to not resemble the rock rather design a monkey head that looks made of rock so this is the result!
