Pinterest Redesign

The main goal was to enhance usability and improve social interaction.

Most of the redesigns of Pinterest are focusing only on the esthetics. However other components have to be changed to meet the expectations of users and increase usability.

Research on Pinterest was summarized by the main conclusion:
“Average Pinterest user's goal is not publishing his own ideas or content, but saving the content which he deems valuable."

The biggest problems found on the page can be divided into three categories: internal mess, external clutter, and Pin segregation.

problem:
disordered content sources including the authors of the original pins

effects:
people interested in the work have
problems with finding an author

wasting a lot of time finding an author or company

with many Pins missing external links nobody is interested in the authorship of works
