Logo Challenge - Slash Films

This was a logo I designed for the fictional film production company Slash Films.
For this one I wanted to create motion in the logo and play with the name "slash" and the fact that editors "cut" film together, so I went with a letterform that gives the impression it's beens sliced in half. I went with a strong vibrant yellow for the background on this with a solid black for both the letter form and text.
