Like every year, R&B and soul can’t be missing in my Top 10. This year, it was the turn of a new artist who, since I heard her first song, captured me with her style and her voice. Shea Butter Baby is a production with a fresh sound that is influenced by the golden age of soul, and introduces us to tracks with a contemporary interpretation of the genre and with a style anyone can vibe to. Ari is an integral artist, with a very peculiar voice and with so much flow. The composition of this album and the small interludes of spoken word are funny, real and still amazing.
