Pacific Calm Udemy Project - Brainstorming

The following project was a free exercise presented as a part of the Graphic Design Masterclass course on Udemy from Lindsay Marsh.

For the exercise, imaginary client wanted to brand a lifestyle gym under the name Pacific Calm. The main focus of an exercise was to design a logo, but one could create a whole brand identity if willing.

Brainstorming Stage:

I was playing with forms and motifs which remind of water and calmness: Sounds of waves and rain came to my mind right away.

I found it interesting to combine those with a shape of a female body, preferably in a pose connected with exercise or health.

This way I included both, a concept of water and a concept of human body being active and healthy, thus creating a service which is not considered to be just a spa.
