Moon Cake Day

Illustration to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival
The festival is held on the 15th day of the 8th month of the Chinese Lunisolar Calendar with a full moon at night. On this day, it is believed that the moon is the brightest and fullest!
Lanterns are lit to represent beacons to light our way to prosperity and good luck! ✨
So many old tales associated with moon cake day that I feel like I’m learning about it all too late. Only ever known that this day is for family gatherings, lighting lanterns and filling up with mooncakes! 🥮
