The unglamorous side: everything begins as a thumbnail, then solidified into a sketch.

Then reference is gathered and shot, sketch tightened, and then transferred to the final drawing surface.

At this point, images either work or they don't. Actual final rendering is maybe 25% of what makes a good image.
