Ambergris

Ambergris… highly sought by perfumers for its “musky” (well… fecal) smell also serves as a fixative that allows for your favorite scent to last longer on your skin. While the general thought is that ambergris is formed by a whale’s digestive tract to ease the passage of hard, sharp objects like squid beaks, the jury is still out on whether or not ambergris is poop or puke.
