πŸŒ™ Melinda and the Night Sky πŸŒ™ Say What You Mean

The β€œSay What You Mean” Single Cover artwork for Melinda and the Night Sky, released officially on 9/4/2020 – be sure to listen!

First off, I love research. I love themes. I love a good subliminal message, and an obvious one, too. Once in awhile I get to work on a project where the client says β€œlisten to the song and based on whatever inspiration takes you, create art” 😍. Now sometimes that’s super difficult, but when it comes to music, that’s my sweet spot.

Listening to β€œSay What You Mean” I picked up on keywords plus the feeling and vibes I was getting. Hearing how the words sounded in pictures, ya’ know? I felt the need for trust, the no lies, the honesty, and though it wasn’t outright spoken – β€œsay no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil” was one of the first visual concepts that shot into my eyes. Just say what you mean! 😁

I illustrated White Chrysanthemums – which symbolize truth, loyal love. Daffodils for new beginnings and rebirth – strong, resilient. A snake – you know, lies, sneaky, Say What You Mean! The Sun – truth! And other little symbols.
