826 National Annual Report 2012-2013

826 National is a nonprofit organization that provides strategic leadership, administration, and other resources to ensure the success of its network of nine writing and tutoring centers in eight cities. In 2013, 826 National was the recipient of the Library of Congress American Literacy Award.

The 826 National 2012-13 Annual Report documents more than quantitative financial data, organizational highlights, student and teacher evaluations, student writing samples, events—like a visit from White House Education Secretary Arne Duncan—and volunteer testimonies celebrate the success the organization has had in the last calendar year. As each 826 student discovers they are transformed by the written page, transformation is also represented through design by referencing origami, paper cutting, and folding in all illustrative components, info-graphics and custom typography.
