Synesthesia — Infographic Poster Design

I created this poster to bring awareness to this fascinating neurological condition—which causes linked associations between one or more senses—and to provide education about the different types of synesthesia and other key information.

The main diagram is read by following the differently colored arcs between the unique sensory experiences that the condition affects, and matching the color of the arc to the corresponding type of synesthesia below. This interaction will hopefully evoke a sense of exploration, discovery, and wonder in viewers as they contemplate the intricacies of the human brain.

As someone who is endlessly curious about the brain and its inner workings, and who has multiple people very close to me with synesthesia, I found the subject to be a delightful research topic and fertile ground for scientifically precise yet aesthetically vibrant graphics.
