An "M" monogram is created from a juxtaposition of a fish and a flame it is being cooked by. Its clean smooth lines are complimented by a wordmark in sharp geometric typeface. The color choice is influenced by traditional Japanese art and even the nation's flag itself: the icon is a couple of notches away from the crimson circle of the sun.
