I stand with Mi'kmaq

I made this design in support of the Mi'kmaq band in Nova Scotia and their lobster being taken from them from the local non-indigenous people. I have been dealing with anti-native racism in my own hometown lately so this tragedy has really resonated with me. As an Inuit woman coming from a family of hunters and fisherman I have dealt with racist remarks about my family's traditional lifestyle for as long as I can remember. I have always stood up for their rights to hunt and fish because I know they are much more knowledgeable about the land than most commercial meat/fish industries. I hope they get the peace and justice they deserve. I will be sending any of my own profits from this design to the Mi'kmaq fishermen in Nova Scotia.
