THE SICKNESS

Eddie, the vocalist from Imminence, commissioned me to create an exclusive merch design for Halloween based on their track "The Sickness", first released in 2015, and re-released in 2019 on their 3rd full-length studio album, "Turn The Light On". It's an absolutely incredible album that beautifully captures the darker emotions of despair and grief.

Back and forth, I sent multiple submissions before we agreed to the winning concept. The winner was the concept of a spreading black pattern on a human face, which can be seen in Eddie's face in the music video of the track. It's supposed to symbolize the spreading of a disease. I decided to use the iconic lyrics; "If you trade me your soul, I will give you my heart" as heading for the design.

I love to see a band of Swedes like myself putting themselves on the musical world map and getting more recognized. Signed to Sharptone Records, Imminence is an alternative metalcore band from Sweden with such uncomprimising talent and a promising future.
