Braun Knife

So I haven't posted a "design" related project in a while. Been spending more of my time in the shop than at my desk. I've kinda gone knife crazy after making a few KUT knives (more in my shop soon!)...and figured I would have some fun working on a dream knife. Always been a huge Braun/Dieter Rams fan...who isn't...and I got to thinking...why didn't they ever produce a simple utility knife? Braun has always been about form+function. They made the Discus portable light, calculator, alarm clock, etc. I figured an everyday use knife would fit in perfectly with their original lineup! So this is my take on what it might have looked like. It's a quick Photoshop render...and I'm a little rusty.

-Soft rubber, dot textured "butt"
-thermoplastic upper body
-thumb "bump" flipping mechanism to pop blade open with one hand
-button lock/release
