Falling - Illustration Process

No matter how crazy it gets out there, the process stays the same!

I have been exploring more dynamic poses and actively trying to add emotions to the illustrations of mine. Here is the process of my latest illustration, Falling.

As usual, we start with the sketch, tons of iterations before moving on! Getting from empty paper to a skeleton to sketch is one of the hardest things.

It gets easier, as I trace everything from the sketch to vector in Illustrator, nothing tricky at all!

Finally, the colors, I believe that the color tells us a lot about the story, about the context. With that said, I wanted to capture the moment of sadness, alone and isolated.
