Smart watch idea for monitoring health condition for space traveler.
Staying healthy in space with varying temperature and pressure etc. is the main concern for space travellers. The main objective for this product is to monitor their health and assist them when they are in need. While traveling is a way of relaxation, exploring space is just like exploring on earth, which means they prefer to remain carefree and no stress should be part of the trip. Thus, wearing a smartwatch to have medical approved strip is the best way to consistently monitor travellers’ health and they won’t be afraid of losing the product.
To start, a home screen with a standard spaceship time is shown to make sure everyone on the tour will have the same body clock and to prevent behavioural isolation or confinement. The easiest way is start using it is to implement swiping gesture to navigate to the menu. There is a food scanning feature, where users can collect nutritional information when they get food from the spaceship. All they need to do is to scan their watch when they pay the food. All pre-recorded information of different dish will be transferred to the product. Users can view their own record in ‘Health’ if they want to. For regular physical check up on the ship, user’s can always export their health summary to the doctors they are seeing. Another feature is ‘Alert’. It shows up like a push notification when abnormal body situation is detected, e.x. low blood pressure (on the prototype), abnormal purse rate, abnormal radiation rate in the environment detected. Different CTA button depending on the users situation can shortly help users locate the doctors onboard or to call for emergency assistance while users location can be found through the navigation system on the watch. More research and implementation should be done before launching this product. I hope this prototype can communicate the idea well.
