October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to increase attention and support for the awareness, early detection and treatment of breast cancer. A huge inspiration for this illustration wasn’t just #pinkoctober, but also Kamala Harris with her memorable moment during the debate: “I’m speaking”. Pence’s arrogant and condescending behavior towards Kamala made her completely relatable and evoked the empathy of every woman who has been talked over, interrupted, and marginalized by men.
