SearchParty is leading the way for festival apps by minimising the hassle and maximising the experience. SearchParty - map-based social application with the primary aim to make your friends' location visible and able to contact them in real-time.

SearchParty is a unique application in the way it aggregates users. As its primary aim is festivals, users inside the app can significantly drop when there are ZERO of them in Australia or grow to more than 50,000 users at the same time during a big festival.

The main features are live location of friends on a map and live messaging with them, and they are very resource heavy and requires the transfer of big data chunks. It's a big challenge to make them work smoothly when 50,000 users are using the app at the same time at a festival that's located on a deserted field with a bad internet connection.

Even more, it's a big challenge to make resource usage as low as possible to reduce unnecessary costs or remove cost at all when there is no usage.
