Women vote

For this project, I wanted to encourage women I know personally to use their power to vote and make change in 2020.

I wanted to use a quote as a typographic, design solution. After some research, I thought the quote by Susan B. Anthony, was perfect for sending a strong message and emphasizing the power women have.

For the flip side of the card, I used Pablo Stanley’s “Humaaans” illustration library (https://www.humaaans.com/), to feature a group of diverse women, that look like they are running forward to vote.

The colors and typeface were based on the Democrat style guide found here: https://uploads.democrats.org/Downloads/dncbrandguide_2015.pdf

Finally, I wanted to support the United States Post Office, by ordering and using the “19th Amendment: Women Vote” (https://store.usps.com/store/product/buy-stamps/19th-amendment-women-vote-S_476604) stamps, to help highlight and tease the message of the postcard.
