Holding Time Object Design

I would like to define holding time through the concept of reincarnation. Explaining how each individual relives their life multiple times in different time zones. This concept tells that each time zones hold on to each other infinitely Through time and each life cycle, the person grows, improves and corrects his or her sins. As some said that reincarnation lets people correct what they did wrong in their previous life. I illustrated this sense of correction through the use of smoothening of textures and range of metals to show the sense of improvement of value in life. For my first ring, the incomplete circles and complete circle symbolizes three life cycles after each reincarnation the circle has fewer imperfections. For my second ring, I focused on the change in texture and material. For the lowest value copper, holes on the surface symbolizing a rough life, silver shoes a rise in value, some mild texture in on the surface. For brass, it is a smooth texture. For my third ring, I highlight the idea of connection and holding time the circles are symbolic images in reincarnation creating a graphic ring. For my ceramics work, I emphasized on creating objects based on the idea of changing texture from rough to smooth and changing colours from dark to light, to demonstrate my concept. Therefore though in different forms, they all create a sense of unity. In the first one, the height of the sides is different as the lowest in height symbolize lowest in value it changes through reincarnation.
The second one is made out of different loops in different textures telling different value of one person. The last one is a sphere the colour and texture gradually smoothens and lightens from one end of the hemisphere to the other end.
