WATFORD F.C.
‘Crest to Icon’ is a personal project to create a simple identifying icon for all 20 clubs in the English Premier League (2019/20 season).
Often mistaken for a moose, Watford’s badge actually bears the head of a ‘hart’—a traditional name for a stag. The club is located in Hertfordshire, the county whose name is derived from the hart. To add to the confusion, the club’s nickname is the hornets, owing to their distinctive yellow and black shirts.
