Daily Logo Challenge | Day 40 - Camera App Logo

Day 40 and the end is in sight! For today's #DailyLogoChallenge, I had to design a logo for a camera app.

The name options to choose from were 'Clearer', 'Quick Shot', and 'Lens Cap'. There were some pretty obvious initial ideas like making certain letters into the camera but I wanted to try something a little bit different.

After thinking about photography grids and guides, I realised I could use the Fibonacci sequence to make the 'Q' in Quick Shot. If you're not familiar, it's one of the most famous formulas in mathematics where each number in the sequence is the sum of the two numbers that proceed it.

It might sound very theoretical but it appears a lot in nature, in things such as the seeds of a sunflower or the shell of a snail. It is also used in photography and design to help create visually pleasing compositions.

All in all, I'm pleased with the concept and how this minimal logo came together.
