Daily Logo Challenge | Day 38 - College Logo

Back again for #DailyLogoChallenge, Day 38.

Today's logo challenge was for a college or university and the name choices were 'Cutting University', Allen Academy', and 'Kiem University'. I went with Allen Academy.

My initial idea was to take the letter A and make some kind of symbol from that but it felt a little bit too basic.

So I went back to the drawing board and decided to combine a pencil with a square graduation hat (I'm pretty sure that's their proper, exact name).

I like how this one turned out and feel like the concept is an original one.
