Celestial Diadem Logo

Celestial Diadem are a new PR company with a background in marketing and communications in the music industry. They approached me to help design their logo.

After going through a variety of different styles we ended up with the shortlist of variants in the third image, the concept is circular (as most celestial objects are spherical), and the lines towards the bottom rim represent the ornament of a diadem or crown (the star splitting the circle also creates an abstract C+D perhaps). After review the client finally settled on the logo you see in the first two images.
